The Department Conducts Mid-term Inspection on Graduation Projects for the Class of 2026 Undergraduates
Date:2026-04-24 View:

April 22 witnessed the college’s mid-term assessment of undergraduate graduation projects for two majors: Agricultural Mechanization and Automation, and Agricultural Intelligent Equipment Engineering. Huang Wenyue, Vice Dean in charge of teaching, Ling Zhiyong, teaching supervisor from the University Working Committee for Caring for the Next Generation, all supervisors and graduating students attended the event to standardize the whole inspection procedure and guarantee the quality of talent cultivation.

As a core link to evaluate undergraduate teaching quality and students’ practical capabilities, graduation projects must align with industrial demands and be strictly managed throughout the whole process. Attaching great importance to this mid-term check, the college took it as a key phase to track project progress and improve final outcomes. Coordinated by the Agricultural Machinery Department, the inspection combined project defense, workload verification and group comments by experts. It reviewed the interim progress comprehensively with focus on the practicality and innovation of each student’s research.

In the defense session, students avoided purely theoretical research and closely linked their studies with real production needs including hilly and mountain field operations, protected agriculture and special crop cultivation. Students majoring in Agricultural Mechanization and Automation mainly optimized the structure and adaptability of agricultural machinery to tackle difficulties in complex terrain farming, achieving much higher precision and working efficiency than traditional equipment. Those majoring in Agricultural Intelligent Equipment Engineering adopted digital technologies to advance precision agriculture. By optimizing algorithms and intelligent control systems, their designs effectively cut pesticide, water and fertilizer consumption with highly implementable technical plans.
