On April 21, the training wrapped up successfully in the agricultural machinery laboratory of the Leisi Building. The lecture was delivered by Professor Wu Shuo, Director of the Laboratory, with all members of the promotion group in attendance.
Centering on core technologies, research background, application scenarios and commercial value of intelligent farm equipment, Professor Wu gave an on-site, immersive explanation alongside physical machinery in the lab. He elaborated on the technical principles and innovative advantages of each device, illustrated trends in precision agriculture, and explained how smart farming machinery addresses bottlenecks in conventional agriculture. His easy-to-follow talk helped participants gain a systematic and thorough understanding of the college’s research outputs. He also shared public speaking skills, stressing that presentations should highlight technical strengths and cite real-world cases to make the practical value of research more accessible to audiences.

During Q&A, members raised questions about promotion obstacles and presentation planning, which Professor Wu answered thoroughly amid lively discussion. Many trainees noted the hands-on training moved beyond theoretical learning. Direct exposure to the equipment strengthened their expertise and clarified presentation frameworks, boosting their confidence for upcoming outreach activities.
This training consolidated the group’s professional capacity and facilitated the transfer and popularization of the college’s scientific achievements. Going forward, the team will showcase Jiangsu University’s innovative intelligent agricultural machinery achievements in villages, partner enterprises and industry exhibitions, contributing to the intelligent upgrading of modern agriculture.
