From November 8th to 10th, the 2025 Academic Annual Conference of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery was held in Nanjing. During the event, the Fellow Award Ceremony of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery took place, and Professor Mao Hanping from our university was elected as a Fellow of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery.

The title of Fellow of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery represents the highest academic honor within the society. It is awarded to individuals who have made creative achievements, achieved breakthrough results, and significant contributions in the field of agricultural machinery and its related areas, or who have made important contributions to the development of China's agricultural mechanization cause, or to the advancement of the discipline of agricultural engineering and the reform and development of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery.

Professor Mao Hanping has been dedicated to the frontlines of teaching and scientific research for over four decades. He has achieved systematic and innovative accomplishments in the basic theoretical research, key technology development, and equipment innovation in the area of controlled environment horticulture. His contributions have made a significant impact on the development of China's protected agriculture industry. As the primary contributor, he has received one National Science and Technology Progress Award (second prize) and four provincial and ministerial-level Science and Technology Progress/Technological Invention Awards (first prizes).Additionally, Professor Mao initiated and organized the International College Students' Innovation Competition on Intelligent Agricultural Equipment, which has now been held for ten editions. This competition has become an important event recognized by the Ministry of Education and has garnered high recognition and praise from teachers, students, and industry professionals across agricultural engineering universities nationwide, greatly promoting the enhancement of innovation capabilities among college students in China's agricultural equipment sector.Furthermore, Professor Mao has long been actively involved in serving the society, making substantial contributions to its work. He has been honored with titles such as "Outstanding Figure in the 60th Anniversary of China's Agricultural Mechanization Development."
